Under discussion Councilmember Daysog, stated that he was concerned about the possibility of a charge on either cable or electric bills; it is important to be upfront with the public regarding the $750,000 and the possibility of recouping the money through rate charges. The Interim City Manager stated impacts would be determined through the Alameda Power and Telecom (AP&T) budget processi stated that there are always trade offs in the budget. Councilmember Daysog stated that he supports the Ordinance, which is the more conservative approach given the different options presented. Councilmember deHaan stated that there is a good likelihood that something would need to be massaged; AP&T should not go through a disproportionate adjustment. On the call for the question, the motion carried by unanimous voice vote - 4.
