ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Mayor Trish Herrera Spencer, Secretary Nancy Bronstein, Bill Soderlund, Nancy Elzig Staff: Edwin Gato, Financial Services Manager; Chad Barr, Administrative Technician - Human Resources 3. MINUTES: The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 30, 2018 were moved for approval by Trustee Soderlund and seconded by Trustee Elzig. Passed 3-0. 4. AGENDA ITEMS: 4-A. Pension Payroll and Financial Reports - Quarter Ending September 30, 2018 and City of Alameda Police & Fire Pension Funds Financial Reports for the Period Ending September 30, 2018. Financial Services Manager Gato explained the decrease in costs is due to the passing of Pensioner Norman Tousley, but the increase was due to the quarterly payment of the uniform allowance. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS, NON-AGENDA (PUBLIC COMMENT): There were no oral communications from the public. 6. PENSION BOARD COMMUNICATIONS (COMMUNICATIONS FROM BOARD): Member Elzig asked if we had been able to find qualified candidates for the Pension Board Police representative. Secretary Bronstein replied we had tried but not found anyone willing. Bronstein continued with the thought from Administrative Technician Barr that posting on the Alameda Police Department's Facebook page might generate interest. Trustee Elzig suggested Frederick William Leitz as a possible candidate and where he frequently visits to converse face to face. 7.
