ORAL COMMUNICATIONS *None* 6. CONSENT CALENDAR *None* 7. REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS 7-A 2018-6173 General Plan Annual Report and Land Use Element Text Amendments. Applicant: City of Alameda. Public hearing to consider an Annual Report on the Status of the General Plan and proposed General Plan Text Amendments to resolve conflicting language between the residential density standards in the 1991 Land Use Element with the residential density standards adopted in the 2012 Housing Element to bring the General Plan into conformance with state housing law. The amendment also includes clarifications regarding business park development standards and an update to the development and demographic projections for the period 2020-2040. The proposed amendments are categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061 (b)(3), the general rule that CEQA only applies to actions that have the potential to cause a significant impact on the environment Staff Member Thomas gave a presentation.
