Alameda Towne Centre Expansion Project Draft Environmental Impact Report (DG). Planning Board consideration of the draft Environmental Impact Report that evaluates proposed changes and expansion of the Alameda Towne Centre (formerly South Shore Center). The project includes modifications to an earlier Planned Development Amendment proposed in 2002 / 2003. These include 49,650 square feet of floor area above the 112,000 square feet expansion proposed in 2002/ 2003, the construction of a new 145,000 sq. ft. Target department store, instead of the previously proposed 90,000 square feet building, construction of a new parking structure and improvements to the southeast corner of the South Shore Shopping Center. No action to approve or deny the project will occur at this meeting. The project site is zoned C-2- PD (Central Business--Specia Planned Development District).
