Councilmember Daysog requested clarification that the motion moves all 15 policies forward. Councilmember Oddie stated all policies are as-is, with the exception of not striking immigration status from Policy #402 and putting a note in Policy #300 about the State ban on chokeholds. Vice Mayor Knox White seconded the motion; requested a friendly amendment that the motion include the caveat that this is not the end, rather it is a step that does not mean Council will not be taking future action related to 8 Can't Wait. Councilmember Oddie accepted the friendly amendment to the motion. Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft stated Council will take action once the subcommittee has reported back. On the call for the question, the motion carried by the following roll call vote: Councilmembers Daysog: Aye; Knox White: Aye; Oddie: Aye; Vella: Aye; and Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft: Aye. Ayes: 5.
