Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft called a meeting recess at 9:56 p.m. and reconvened the meeting at 10:10 p.m. The Following Comments Were Read Into the Record: Stated that he does not support the resolution; passing the resolution feels undemocratic and a shortcut to addressing the real problem of systemic racism; the resolution is an overreach by the City to circumvent processes outlined in the Charter; the resolution fails to address the crisis in Alameda: Joseph Cutrona, Alameda.
