Councilmember Daysog inquired if a Council discussion occurred to utilize non-sworn positions in 2017, to which the Fire Chief responded in the affirmative. Councilmember Oddie inquired whether the topic of sworn versus not sworn is allowed to be discussed. The Acting City Attorney responded in the affirmative if it relates to the fee study. Councilmember Oddie inquired whether the City currently has the Fire Marshal position, to which the Fire Chief responded in the negative.
