Councilmember Ezzy Ashcraft inquired whether there are green design requirements for residential developments. The Planner Il responded the City follows the State enacted Building Code to enforce green building standards for residential developments. Councilmember Ezzy Ashcraft inquired whether the plan needs to be updated, to which the Planner Il responded in the affirmative. Councilmember Ezzy Ashcraft stated that she attended the Midway Shelter 5K walk/run and styrofoam cups were being used; inquired whether community members can spread the word of the styrofoam cup ban in Alameda to make a difference.
