CityCouncil | 2010-06-01 | 27 | ORAL REPORTS (ARRA) Oral report from Member Councilmember/Board Member/Commissioner Matarrese, Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) representative - Highlights of May 6 Alameda Point RAB Meeting Board Member Matarrese stated the Navy is nearing completion of the replacement and removal of several radio active storm drain lines that go from Buildings 5 and 400 to the seaplane lagoon; requested clarification on whether the new storm drains would meet current standards; stated a number of remediation are in place; nearly 75% completion of characterization is being approached; part of the clean up plan includes the former Todd Shipyard near the existing ferry terminal where copper is being removed, which is not all Navy contamination, but the Navy is paying for it.
