The Ferry Services Manager responded WETA will get the Scorpio, which has been offered to the City for the Alameda/Oakland Ferry Service; the plan is to sub-charter the Scorpio to the Blue & Gold Fleet for Alameda/Oakland Ferry Service operations and take the Gemini from the Blue & Gold Fleet for use by Harbor Bay Maritime for Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry operations. Councilmember Matarrese moved approval of the staff recommendation with direction to ensure that communication continues with WETA regarding how to address the next Bay Bridge closure.
