The Supervising Planner gave a brief Power Point presentation. Councilmember deHaan inquired whether staff recommends an asphalt path. The Supervising Planner responded staff recommends keeping the asphalt as long as adequate width and good transitions exist between the asphalt and other materials. Mayor Johnson inquired who would be responsible for the maintenance, to which the Supervising Planner responded the Grand Marina. Mayor Johnson inquired whether defined maintenance levels would be required; stated the Planning Board might have thought that asphalt would not last as long as concrete.
