Councilmember/Board Member/Commissioner Matarrese responded in the affirmative; stated the background is that David Brandt [Assistant City Attorney ] moved from the City Attorney's office to the City Manager's office. Mayor/Chair Johnson stated the hiring process has started; approval could be given to hire one Assistant City Attorney. Vice Mayor/Board Member/Commissioner Gilmore moved approval to hire one Assistant City Attorney. Councilmember/Board Member/Commissioner deHaan seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous voice vote - 6. Mayor/Chair Johnson stated the remainder of the agenda item would be continued.
